QUEEN'S FOOTBALL FALLS TO MUSTANGS FOR FIRST LOSS OF SEASON

Queen's Football fell to the Mustangs 35-11 Saturday night in London, Ont., their first loss of the regular season.
Taking on the No. 1 ranked Mustangs, Queen's fell behind 14-0 early in the second quarter and trailed 21-7 at half time. The Gaels pulled within 11 points after a third quarter field goal, but the Mustangs would add two more touchdowns, sending the Gaels to a 24-point loss.
Backup quarterback Alex Vreeken (Kingston, Ont.) got Queen's on the board midway through the second quarter with a one-yard rush into the end zone, cutting the Mustangs' lead to 14-7 at the time.
Tyler Mullan (North Bay, Ont.) would kick his ninth field goal of the year in the third quarter and Queen's also scored a rouge in the loss.
Anthony Soles (Pointe Claire, Que.) recorded his third straight strong game of the season, finishing with 18 carries for 105 yards, and Queen's finished the game with 195 yards on the ground.
Quarterback James Keenan (Ottawa, Ont.) finished the game 10-18 for 125 yards while Aidan O'Neal (Sackville, N.B.) was the team's leading receiver with four receptions and 74 yards.
On defence, Silas Hubert and Wells Karabin each had big games rushing the passer. Hubert (Hastings, Ont.) finished with two sacks while Karabin (King City, Ont.) finished with 1.5 sacks and two tackles for a loss.
Ethan Martin (London, Ont.) and Walter Karabin (King City, Ont.) each finished with a game-high nine tackles.
With the loss, Queen's Football's roster dropped to 2-1 on the season. The Mustangs remained undefeated with the win, their record improving to 3-0.
