The #3 McMaster Marauders (5-0) cruised past the Queen's Golden Gaels (2-3) 37-5 on a rare Sunday game, marking the 9th consecutive time that the Marauders have beaten the Gaels.
The McMaster defense held Queen's to 143 net yards versus McMaster's 593 net yards. McMaster was led offensively by RB Andre Sadeghian who rushed 25 times for 190 yards and 3 touchdowns.
McMaster Quarterback, Adam Archibald completed 14 of his 30 passes for 307 yards and a touchdown. His favourite target was Jordan Charter who caught 3 balls for 86 yards. Rob Mitchell added 3 catches for 69 yards.
Queen's got a strong game from Robb Bagg who had 6 catches for 80 yards and 93 yards on punt and kick returns. Queen's leading receiver Brad Smith was held to just 1 catch for 10 yards late in the game. Queen's Quarterback, Danny Brannagan completed 10 of 27 passes for 109 yards, 2 interceptions and 0 touchdowns. Billy Burke led the Queen's rushers with 44 yards on 11 carries.
Queen's top defenders were Kirby Calvert and Chris Smith with 6.5 and 5.5 tackles respectively. Smith and Jimmy Allin also had interceptions off Adam Archibald.
Queen's will host the University of Ottawa Gee Gees(4-1) at Richardson stadium on Thanksgiving Saturday at 2:00pm.
