GAELS END THEIR REGULAR SEASON WITH A 0-0 DRAW AGAINST THE VOYAGEURS

The Queen's Gaels women's soccer team ended in a scoreless draw against the Laurentian Voyageurs this Sunday afternoon in their last game of the regular season. The Gaels will play their first playoff game this Wednesday at the Miklas-McCarney field.
The Gaels (7-2-7) ended up their regular season with a fifth seat in the OUA East division.
GAME FLOW
With playoffs on their mind the Gaels look to head into their first round with 29 points, however the Gaels ended up with a draw against the Voyageurs. All of the attack came from the Queen's Gaels as Micah Vermeer (Grimsby, Ont.) took the only shot at goal for both teams but fell short as Laurentian's goalkeeper Richele Greenwood made a beautiful save. Both team entered the second half with no score on the board.
Tara Bartram (Vancouver), Rachel Radu (Ottawa) and Jessie de Boer (North Vancouver) all tried to put the Gaels on top with three shots on goal but unfortunately it would not go in. Both teams played aggressively throughout the half, however it ended up with a tie as no goals were netted for either teams.
The Queen's Gaels will still head into playoffs this Wednesday afternoon.
